Submission Rules
Original Works of Unpublished Fiction

  1. You may post at anytime. You must however indicate if your fiction has been beta'd.

  2. If you wish to set up a series, that can be accomplished through subcategories using your author name, however you will need to let Admin know what the name of your series is and what characters, if any, you would like added to the subcategory of your author name, series name.

  3. By posting you are indicating that this fiction is your own unpublished original work. The story and characters belong to you and are not borrowed in any way shape or form from any recognizable work of published material.

  4. Any stories found to be plagiarised will be deleted immediately as will the user account and any other works under that account.

Fanfiction Submissions

  1. All fanfiction submissions must be accompanied by a complete disclaimer. If a suitable disclaimer is not included, the site administrators reserve the right to add a disclaimer. Repeat offenders may be subject to further action up to and including removal of stories and account.
    Sample Disclaimer
Disclaimer: All publicly recognizable characters, settings, etc. are the property of their respective owners. The original characters and plot are the property of the author. The author is in no way associated with the owners, creators, or producers of any media franchise. No copyright infringement is intended.

  2. Stories must be submitted to the proper category. If there is an appropriate sub-category. The submission form allows you to choose multiple categories for your story, and we worked very hard to add that functionality for you. So please do NOT add your story multiple times!

  3. Categories will be added upon request. Please take a moment to look at the Harry Potter category as an example. If you wish to add a new fandom category, contact admin with the name (ex LOTR, POTC etc..) and, if any, subcategories, as well as any character. Please note that characters are specific to each category/subcategory.

  4. "Please read", "Untitled", etc. are not acceptable titles or summaries.

  5. Beta indicator must be used when submitting all fanfiction. The admin IS NOT going to beta your fiction. We are giving you the opportunity to indicate this yourself. If the admin review a story that has this indicator turned to yes and is clearly NOT beta'd, you will be asked to change your indicator before your story/chapter or the Admin will do it for you. If you neglect to use the beta indicator, Admin will contact you and request that you select either yes or no.

  6. A number of authors have requested that fans refrain from writing fan fiction based on their work. Therefore submissions will not be accepted based on the works of P.N. Elrod, Raymond Feist, Terry Goodkind, Laurell K. Hamilton, Anne McCaffrey, Robin McKinley, Irene Radford, Anne Rice, and Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb.

  7. All stories must be rated correctly and have the appropriate warnings. All adult rated stories are expected to have warnings. After all, they wouldn't have that rating if there wasn't something to be warned about! The site administrators recognize that there is an audience for these stories, but please respect those who do not wish to read them by labeling them appropriately. Please note: Stories containing adults having sex with minors are strictly forbidden excepting for cases of child abuse.

For this archive we are describing a minor as anyone under the age of fifteen.

    Fifteen and older is unrestricted.

  8. Stories with multiple chapters should be archived as such and NEVER as separate stories.

  9. We are asking that you try to only submit one chapter of a story at a time. You may submit as many different stories as you like.

  10. As much as possible, spoiler warnings are expected on all stories. For categories with serialized content, such as series of books or television series, spoilers are mandatory for the current season and/or most recent part. An appropriate spoiler warning to place in your summary would be: Spoilers for Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. DO NOT do anything like this: Spoilers for the one where Spock dies.

Submissions found to be in violation of these rules may be removed and the author's account suspended at the discretion of the site administrators and/or moderators. The site administrators reserve the right to modify these rules as needed.
